Recently, the world's first set of slag dry granulation insulation buffer electric furnace designed and independently developed by our company for a certain enterprise in Anyang has been successfully put into operation at the Anyang base. The implementation of this equipment not only fills the technological gap in the global high-temperature slag treatment field, but also achieves multiple breakthroughs in slag resource utilization, waste heat recovery, and environmental protection and emission reduction, providing a "Chinese solution" for the green and low-carbon transformation of the steel industry.
As the core environmental protection and resource utilization equipment in the steel production process, traditional slag treatment has long faced industry pain points of "high water consumption, high pollution, and low efficiency". Data shows that the traditional water flushing slag process consumes about 10 tons of circulating water per ton of slag, evaporates 1 ton of water resources, and generates a large amount of steam containing pollutants, which is directly discharged and becomes one of the important sources of atmospheric haze; At the same time, the moisture content of the slag is as high as 30%, and additional gas drying is required for subsequent grinding. The power consumption of grinding slag per ton reaches 35kWh, resulting in serious waste of resources and energy. However, the hot splash dry slag process has problems such as wide land occupation, low slag utilization value, and complete waste of waste heat, and the industry urgently needs revolutionary technological breakthroughs.

Our R&D team has successfully built this innovative equipment after years of technical breakthroughs, integrating multiple core technologies such as high-pressure water spray drying, high-temperature waste heat recovery, intelligent thermal insulation and buffering. The electric furnace adopts a composite process of "bypass transformation+insulation buffering+dry granulation", which upgrades the original production system while retaining it, and construction and maintenance do not affect normal production. Its core advantages are reflected in three dimensions: first, extreme environmental protection, no need for a large amount of water resources throughout the process, avoiding white smoke pollution caused by water flushing and equipment icing safety hazards, achieving near zero emissions and clean operations on the production site; The second is efficient utilization of resources. The slag is granulated into ultra-fine powder through high-pressure water spray technology, and the particle size can be precisely controlled. The product can be directly used as high-end materials such as glass, ceramics, ceramsite, and its utilization value is several times higher than that of traditional water slag; The third breakthrough is in waste heat recovery, which innovatively recovers 650 ℃ high-temperature steam and granular waste heat. One ton of slag can generate more than 100kWh of electricity, and can also synergistically treat industrial wastewater such as coking wastewater and concentrated salt water, achieving the goal of "turning waste into treasure".
According to on-site test data, after the equipment is put into operation, its annual slag processing capacity can reach hundreds of thousands of tons, and it can achieve direct economic benefits of over 10 million yuan per year: revenue from waste heat power generation, sales of high-end slag products, and wastewater treatment revenue form a triple profit growth point. Compared with traditional craftsmanship, it can reduce water consumption by 1.5 million tons per year, lower carbon dioxide emissions, and completely solve the environmental problems and resource waste pain points that have long plagued the industry. The project leader of a company in Anyang stated that the smooth production of this equipment not only significantly improved the company's green production level, but also enhanced the product's market competitiveness through technological upgrades, setting a benchmark for the transformation and upgrading of the regional steel industry.
